Tarezin Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This policy explains how Tarezin handles personal information when you use our iOS app, website, and support services. Tarezin connects content and social activity to real places through augmented reality. It is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Who is responsible for your information

Sayed Abdul Basir Samimi operates Tarezin in Brazil and is the controller responsible for the personal information processed to provide the service. In this policy, “Tarezin,” “we,” and “our” refer to that operator. Some service providers act as independent controllers for their own services.

For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, contact [email protected]. This is our privacy contact channel, including for requests under Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD). This policy does not limit rights you have under applicable law.

Information we process

Account and profile information

We process your account identifiers, email address, display name, country, profile biography and photo, age confirmation and its timestamp, and a date of birth where it is recorded in your profile. Password accounts use a protected password credential. Registration requires confirmation that you are at least 18; this is an age declaration, not identity verification.

If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive the provider identifier, authentication information, and account details supplied for that sign-in. Apple may supply a relay email address instead of your personal email address. We may retain an encrypted Apple refresh token to support authorization revocation when you delete your Tarezin account.

Location and place activity

With device permission, the app uses precise location while you use it to find nearby places, position AR content, and check whether an action is allowed at a place. It processes coordinates, accuracy and heading information, together with the locations of banners and 3D objects. Requests for nearby content and location-dependent actions send relevant location information to our service.

We also process records linking your account to places where you create content or participate. These records support place activity, profile maps, discovery, and eligibility for later interactions. A location used for an immediate proximity check and a record of participation at a place serve different purposes; stopping location access does not itself delete earlier contributions or participation records.

Camera and media

Camera access supports the AR experience and captures you choose to make. Live AR camera frames and hand-gesture processing are handled on your device; the app does not upload the live camera feed as part of ordinary AR viewing. Media you deliberately upload is sent to our service. Uploaded videos can contain audio, and uploaded files may contain embedded information or metadata.

The app uses the system media picker when you select photos or videos and requests permission when needed to save captures to your photo library. Saving a capture to your device does not by itself publish it to Tarezin. Sharing or uploading it is a separate action.

Content and interactions

We process profile text, photos, videos, thumbnails, comments, 3D files, visibility choices, likes, friend requests, friendships, blocks, and the content or activity those actions concern. We also process records needed to show activity notifications and whether you have viewed them.

Support and moderation

If you contact us or send feedback, we process your message, contact details, account identifier where available, and information you include. In-app feedback may include limited context such as app version, source screen, selected mode, theme, and feedback category.

Reports and rights complaints may include the reporter or claimant’s identifier and contact details, the content concerned, reasons, supporting material, timestamps, and a limited snapshot of the reported content. Review records may include the reviewer, notes, decisions, and actions taken. Privacy requests also create records of the request, verification, response, and outcome. Do not include passwords, sign-in codes, or unrelated sensitive information in these messages.

Technical information

We and our service providers process information needed to operate and secure the service, including authentication tokens, IP addresses, request and error records, file references, and device or app information. The app stores preferences, session information, and media caches on your device.

Authentication providers may also process data for their own services. Google’s iOS sign-in software declares processing of account and device identifiers, contact information, coarse location, and usage information for sign-in functionality and, for some categories, analytics. The information processed depends on the provider and how you use its service. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

TestFlight beta testing

When you test Tarezin through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash and usage information and shares it with us. This can include device and app details, installation and session information, and your name or email depending on how you joined. Feedback you submit can include comments and screenshots. Apple explains this in TestFlight and Privacy.

We use this information to investigate faults and improve Tarezin. We do not share information received through TestFlight with third parties. It is kept only as needed for these purposes and applicable obligations, subject to Apple’s terms. Send requests about our handling to our privacy contact.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, nearby AR experiences, posting, social interactions, and the support you request. Where the LGPD applies, processing necessary to provide these features is based on performance of our agreement with you or steps you request before entering that agreement.

We use relevant account, activity, technical, and report information to maintain reliability, prevent fraud or abuse, and investigate complaints. Where appropriate, we rely on legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable service, balanced against your rights and freedoms. We rely on legal obligations for required compliance activities, on the exercise of legal rights for disputes and proceedings, and on protection of life or physical safety where applicable.

Where processing requires consent, we request it for the relevant purpose. You may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Device permission allows the app to access a device feature; it is not blanket consent to unrelated uses of your information. Withdrawing permission or consent may prevent the affected feature from working. Processing supported by another applicable legal basis may continue for that purpose.

Visibility and sharing

Place posts have Public, Friends, or Private visibility. Public posts can appear in public discovery and place experiences. Friends posts are available to the audience allowed by your friendship settings, and Private posts are limited to your account within the app. These audience settings do not prevent necessary service processing, security review, or legally required access.

Post visibility is separate from profile and place activity. Your profile can show activity counts and a map of places where you created or participated in content. Place associations may remain visible even when the underlying post is not visible to the viewer. Friends may receive more precise place information than other viewers. An approximate location can still reveal information about a place you visited or contributed to.

3D objects are public place content and can be shared or downloaded where those actions are offered. Other people may save, capture, or share content they can access. Deleting content or your account cannot recall copies held by other people or services.

We share relevant information with providers of hosting, storage, authentication, email, maps, security, and support infrastructure. Our service uses DigitalOcean for hosting and storage, Cloudflare for website and network services, Resend for transactional email, and Apple and Google for supported authentication and device services. Support correspondence also passes through the email services used to receive and answer it. Providers process information on our behalf or for their own services, depending on their role.

Apple map, place-search, and geocoding services process the search or location information needed for those features. Our server also sends place coordinates and surrounding-area queries to Overpass services using OpenStreetMap data for placement checks and street-based planning. These queries do not include your Tarezin account identifier, but they can relate to a place where you are using the app. A map check is not a guarantee that a place is safe or open to the public.

We may disclose relevant information to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a valid legal request, address a safety concern, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal rights, subject to applicable law. Information about reports or complaints may be disclosed in handling a dispute or data-access request; we cannot promise that a report is anonymous. Include only information needed to explain the concern.

Tarezin does not sell personal information, include ad-network SDKs or paid sponsorship placements, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. Authentication-provider analytics are separate from advertising tracking.

Automated checks and moderation

Selected profile text and comments are checked for objectionable terms. These checks can make mistakes and do not comprehensively assess photos, videos, or 3D files. Reports and manual review also support moderation.

You can report content or a profile and use the available blocking tools. A report can lead to review and removal of content or clearing of reported profile information. Submitting a report does not automatically hide the content. Contact support if you believe a filtering or moderation decision is incorrect. Where applicable, you may request review of a decision based solely on automated processing that affects your interests.

How long information is kept

We keep account information and content for the purposes described in this policy while your account or the relevant content remains active. Individual content may be removed earlier under the service’s content lifecycle or moderation rules. Tarezin is not a permanent archive.

Retention after an interaction or account deletion depends on the information and the reason for keeping it. Relevant factors include the duration of a support request or dispute, applicable legal retention duties and limitation periods, unresolved security incidents or abuse investigations, and the time needed for storage and backup copies to be removed or overwritten. These grounds do not authorize indefinite retention unrelated to those purposes.

Limited support, privacy-request, moderation, and rights-complaint records may be retained to document how a request was handled, meet legal obligations, or establish or defend rights. Technical logs and backup copies may remain after active-service deletion. Retained information remains subject to this policy and applicable law and is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed for a lawful purpose. Contact us for information about retention affecting your account or request.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the iOS app under Settings, Danger Zone, Delete Account. The app asks you to reauthenticate. Successful deletion removes the account and associated posts, comments, likes, social connections, and owned 3D objects from the active service and invalidates account access. It also initiates removal of managed profile photos, uploaded media, thumbnails, and 3D files. Storage cleanup and removal of residual copies may not occur at the same moment.

Collaborative banners you owned are released to the system so the place can remain available without your account as owner. Records retained for the purposes described above may outlast the account. Copies saved or shared outside Tarezin are not removed by account deletion.

Deleting Tarezin does not delete your Apple or Google account. Where the required Apple authorization information is available, Tarezin attempts to revoke its Sign in with Apple authorization. See Account Deletion Help for instructions and assistance.

Removing a TestFlight installation or stopping beta testing does not delete your Tarezin account. For requests concerning beta feedback or diagnostic information held by us, contact our privacy channel; Apple handles its own records separately.

Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request confirmation and access, correction, deletion or anonymization of unnecessary or unlawfully processed data, portability, information about sharing, information about consent choices, withdrawal of consent, objection to unlawful processing, and review of qualifying automated decisions. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority, including the ANPD in Brazil.

You can edit supported profile fields, choose post visibility, manage friendships and blocks, and delete your account in the app. Manage camera, location, and photo permissions in your device settings.

For access or a copy of your account data, correction help, deletion assistance, or another privacy request, email [email protected]. The Privacy Requests link in the iOS Settings Legal section opens our support guidance. You do not need access to the app to contact us. We may ask for limited information to verify identity or authority before disclosing or changing account information. Never send your password or sign-in codes.

We handle requests under applicable legal requirements and time limits. A response may exclude authentication secrets, information whose disclosure would infringe another person’s rights, or information protected by law. If a request cannot be fully fulfilled, we will explain the applicable reason. Withdrawing consent or deleting an account does not require deletion of records we must lawfully retain.

Security and international processing

We use measures designed to protect information, including protected password handling, authenticated connections, access controls, and restricted administrative access. No service can guarantee absolute security. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access or a privacy incident.

Providers may process information outside Brazil for hosting, storage, authentication, email, and related services. Transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements, including any legally required transfer mechanism and safeguards. Contact our privacy channel for information about the providers, destinations, and safeguards relevant to your data, subject to lawful confidentiality limits.

Adults only

Tarezin is intended for people aged 18 and over. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account or supplied personal information through it, contact support so we can investigate and take appropriate action. An adult uploader remains responsible for respecting the rights and privacy of any person shown in their content.

Changes and contact

The current policy is available at tarezin.com/privacy. We update its revision date when the policy changes. For material changes, we will provide notice appropriate to the change and applicable law; we will request consent where legally required.
